A group of independent CPAs each with his/her own business sharing common facilities, expenses, and staff. Cost savings is achieved yet each practice is run and supervised independently, as though each CPA had his/her separate office and staff.
Although not involved in the operations of one another’s practices, the CPAs learn from one another and thereby provide better outcomes for clients. The phone can be answered during lunch and while the CPA is on vacation, since the receptionist works for more than one practice.
